Kristine M. Schmidt

Chief Executive Officer & Board Member

Kristine Schmidt began serving as CEO June, 2018 and brings over 35 years’ professional utilities experience across the US.  Kristine has held a variety of senior management positions, including running a utility Operating Company, and corporate executive roles in the functional areas of strategy, government and public policy, and B2B partnerships and is well known for her deep understanding of the technical operations and economics of energy production, transmission, distribution, and retail services.

Kristine is a member of the Western Energy Imbalance Market Governing Body which has governance responsibility over the wholesale energy imbalance market in the western region.  Her current term expires June 30, 2020.  Kristine earned a bachelor's degree in English literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison; a master's degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota; and a master's degree in public policy from Georgetown University.



Myron Stadler

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Stadler has served as the CFO of Peak since early 2017. Previously he served as the VP of Finance for SiteWise Corporation, a position he held since 2009. He has accounting experience in several industries including Controller, Chief Accounting Officer, and CFO roles.

Mr. Stadler graduated cum laude from the University of Colorado with a B.S. degree in Accounting.



Catherine B. Benecke

Chief Safety Officer

Ms. Benecke has served as CSO at Peak since 2017 and with SiteWise as Director of Safety, Quality and Training since 2014. She holds a number of relevant EHS certifications including Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), and Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP).

Ms. Benecke graduated from George Washington University with a B.S. in Geological Science.



James Carithers

Director of Fleet

Mr. Carithers has served as Director of Fleet Operations at Peak since 2017 and with SiteWise as Director of Fleet since 2016. Previously he served as the Director of Fleet at Quanta Power and has served in various other fleet management roles within the industry.

Mr. Carithers graduated from San Juan Basin Vo-Tec with an Associate’s degree in Diesel Mechanics.



Roger Pennington

Chief Human Resources Officer

Mr. Pennington has served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Peak since 2017. Previously he served as the Director of Human Resources for Black Hills Corporation and Summit Utilities, Inc.  Prior to joining Black Hills Corporation, he held various other HR leadership roles, including Director of Talent Acquisition at 7-Eleven, Inc.

Mr. Pennington holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI), as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from ACU.



Kristine D. Arps

Corporate Controller

Ms. Arps started as Corporate Controller of Peak in early 2018.  She has previous experience as Controller, Financial Reporting Manager, and External Auditor in a wide array of industries.

Ms. Arps graduated from University of Wisconsin - Madison with a B.S. degree in Accounting and Risk Management Insurance.



Lee Wilkerson

Corporate Advisor

Mr. Wilkerson has served as CEO of Peak since early 2017. Previously he served as the President of SiteWise Corporation, a position he held since 2005. He has held other senior positions within SiteWise since 1987, including VP of Finance and Controller.

Mr. Wilkerson holds B.S. degrees in Accounting and Finance from the University of Northern Colorado.
